The amenity value of the River Avon and its local environment within the city centre will be improved with high quality green space and a much improved landscape of the river corridor.
We will create controlled access points at the river's edge to allow people to be near the water in a safe and enjoyable way. Information boards will be installed to help users learn about how valuable the River Avon is, the habitats they see and the species they might come across.
The scheme is designed to minimise impacts on landscape features of high value such as mature trees. Wherever possible, existing plants and trees will be retained to ensure the scheme blends into the surrounding environment. We will plant many more trees than we need to fell.

Mature trees will be used for planting to ensure that the landscaping looks well established as soon as possible and enhances the experience for those using the area.
